'I can't wait until we get to Alton Towers!' Melody's friend Azalea exclaimed excitedly, 'Think if all the thrill rides we we ride on, like 13, the smiler,Nemesis...' Melody groaned with dread in her bus seat. Of all the trips they could go on they had to take us to Alton Towers as a end-of-year treat,She thought 'How could she tell her friends that she was petrified of roller-coasters?Especially the ones at Alton Towers...' On and on the bus rode on, and the closer they got to the theme park, the more frightened she became. At last the bus reached it's destination as a ripple of excitement flowed throughout the bus:The nightmare had begun. Reluctantly,Melody and her classmates filed out of the bus and stopped outside the entrance waiting impatiently for their teachers to let them enter. Here are your passes everybody, make sure you don't lose them'Mr Lee said happily as her handed out the cards,'If you need any help our numbers are on the back. Have fun and meet us back at 4:00pm outside the oblivion. 'Come on Melody, let's go!' Azalea said, grabbing her arm and running with her into the park with a few other friends.'Now, where shall we go first?' 'Oblivion!'All of her friends shouted in chorus. 'No,wait guys...'Melody called after them before pulling Azalea to one side 'Look, I'm really not good with rollercoasters, can't we go on something else instead for now?' 'Don't worry!'Azalea said reassuringly 'I used to hate thrill rides until I was brought kicked and screaming onto Oblivion, and I have been fine with them ever since! Plus, your braver than me so if I overcame my fear on the smiler then so can you-Trust me!' 'Umm, ok then...' Melody mumbled unconvinced and joined the rest of there friends in the queue. It took about half an hour to queue, which didn't quite help Melody's nerves as she wanted to get this over and done with. Her ears hurt with the sounds of screams in the air which did not help her at all. Stapped in next to her friend, she held onto Azalea's hand tightly and managed to speak: 'Az, I really don't think I can do this.' 'Oh it will be fine! It'll be over in about thirty seconds, and after you've done it, you'll be dying to go on it again.' With a jolt, the ride started to get into motion. Sheer terror rose in Melody'd throat as the ride climbed up to the very top and suddenly stopped. 'Oh,' thought Melody, 'maybe we only go backwards on this ride or something-' AAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!' Melody screamed as they plunged into darkness. 'I'm going to-Actually, I'm alright at this, I'm not feeling sick anymore and the adrenaline is gone!'Melody said to herself as the ride eased down a little. 'Well,' Azalea turned to Melody's white,dead face 'What do you think of that?' 'That..'Melody breathed 'Just gave me another reason on why I should never go on this ride again..' Azalea looked a little guitly 'Oh Melody, I'm really sorry, I didn't think you would take it that bad..' Melody laughed 'Only joking! I was absolutely petrified at that, but I think I can handle other rides if I have just experienced that' Azalea smiled. 'Feeling brave enough to go on the smiler.' 'Yeah!' Melody half-shouted as she and her friends skipped of happily towards their next ride.
