An intergalactic voyage

In the spirit of all things spacey, what do you think lies on the other side of our galaxy?  Write a detailed description of space, or a star or a planet - whatever you think floats in the great beyond.

  1. In my imagination I see a star. A star that resides in the dark depths of the universe, radiating its brilliant light throughout the empty space that is infinity. It is the source of all power, it emanates life into the galaxies, controlling the movement of every single thing you can imagine. Beautiful. Powerful. Amazing. But it is tiny; about the size of tennis ball, and yet it holds so much life at its core. I picture the star as the anchor point of the whole of space. It defies gravity. It has its own force of attraction that routes it to the centre of the whole entire universe. There are many words to describe it, but also none that live up to its magnificence; only in your wildest dreams could you picture anything as breath-taking as this.
